Ritchie Falls Resort is located on the Sauble River and offers excellent fishing for Speckle Trout. Spring in this area is a fly fisherman's dream with many pools and fast eddies to work along the rivers edge. Going up river will bring you to Sauble Lake and some of the finest Lake Trout fishing to be found anywhere, with trophy size fish (+20 lbs. ) being caught both summer and winter. There are remote lakes offering trophy size Speckle Trout as well as pan size Lake Trout in abundance. The network of logging roads will also take you to Pike and Walleye lakes for a days fishing within easy reach of the camp. Moosewa Outpost located on Poupore lake also offers remote fishing for Lake Trout as well as Speckles. Well maintained trails will take you from the main lake to a bounty of fish in more remote lakes. Boats and motors are maintained on five of the most popular lakes, with other boats and canoes scattered on more remote locations. No special equipment is required to enjoy the Lake Trout fishing, while the fly fisherman will enjoy the lakes holding Speckle Trout up to four pounds, and the small rivers allowing one to fish the deep holes and fast water. You can enjoy fishing a different lake every day of the week and chances are you will have the lake to yourself, as all are remote with no road access.
